Spanish fashion brand Zara is set to extend its offerings in France by introducing services to sell, repair, or donate pre-owned clothing.

Customers of Zara in France will have access to a platform called Zara Pre-Owned starting on September 7 on both the Zara website and the Zara application, with the aim of promoting circular fashion practises.

By attempting to increase the lifespan of Zara apparel, it hopes to eliminate waste and the need for new raw materials.

Three key services will be available to customers in France upon the launch of the platform:

Clothing repair service: Customers who purchase used Zara items in-person or online will have the option to ask for repairs. This service provides a variety of repair choices, including replacing closures and re-sealing seams as well as replacing buttons and appliques. Customers may easily follow the status of their online repair requests or have their products delivered to any Zara location of their choice.

Purchase and sale between customers: The “Pre-Owned” platform also provides a safe online market where people can purchase and trade vintage Zara clothing. Customers may easily access customer service help from Zara, which guarantees the security and dependability of transactions and product delivery.

Clothing donation: Zara customers can opt for a home collection service to donate their used Zara clothing. Similar to the containers located in all Zara stores in France, clothing collected at home will be directed to the Le Relais association, with the aim of providing these items with a new lease of life and supporting community development initiatives.

Following the United Kingdom, France is the second nation to offer the Zara Pre-Owned service. France is an important market for the Inditex Group.

The platform’s online sales area is segmented by product type and provides comprehensive details on each item, including information about the original garment and photographs submitted by the seller.
