In an interview with Zionfelix TV on YouTube, the young lady identified as Pokuaa took Zionfelix on a tour of the care home facility she works and explained to him the demands of the job when it comes to taking care of the aged.

Quizzed whether the salary of caregivers is good, the young lady responded with a resounding yes.

She explained that the nature of the work is such that caregivers are paid well as a way of motivating them to give off their best.

Pokuaa said being paid 5000 Euros equivalent to KSh 685,000 a month is an amount that is impossible to earn due to the huge tax deductions.

“It’s possible to get 5000 euros in this job, but tax deductions mean you cannot take all the 5000 home. However, after paying taxes, you will be happy with what is left,” she said.

According to Academics.com on the income tax for foreigners in Germany, up to 40% can be deducted from anyone making about 5,000 Euros per month, which brings the regular monthly salary to about 3,000 Euros KSh 413,918.

With 12 years of experience as a caregiver, Pokuaa reveals plans to further her education in the field.

The video had raked in over 14,000 views and 200 likes.
