X5 Retail Group has reported strong third-quarter sales growth as it added more than 784 stores to its portfolio and despite high food inflation.
The Russian food retailer said Tuesday that revenue for the third quarter ended Sept. 30 rose to 794.5 million rubles ($8.2 million) from RUB647.4 million, driven by a 10.2% year-over-year increase in like-for-like sales and selling space.
Digital business net revenue increased by 97.9% year-on-year, reflecting higher order volume and increasing number of new partners.
