Leading Nigerian Advertising Agency, X3M Ideas, has done Nigeria great again by clinching two notable awards in the 2023 edition of Lisbon International Advertising Festivals Group.
The agency, which recently broke the record of being the first Nigerian agency to win at Cannes Advertising Festival in France, was at the weekend in Portugal pronounced winner in Health and PR categories.
The Lisbon Ad Festivals Group, which includes the Lisbon AD, Lisbon Health, and Lisbon PR awards, is a global advertising award recognised for its prestigious jury members and for gathering in Lisbon some of the biggest names of the advertising and creativity’s world.
According to the jurors at the festival, X3M’s Wellness Campaign; ‘The Soul Life Expectancy -the Extra Step Initiative’ and its Digital & Mobile Government & Politics; ‘Vote for Your Future -Vote for Your Future’, won Silver and Bronze respectively.
The organisers further stated that entries for the award which opened in April attracted diverse campaigns from many agencies across the world, adding that works were evaluated by a Panel of Juries and a Panel of Curators.
They also disclosed that as of today, some of the most prestigious agencies on a global level have already been awarded as more agencies and networks aim to take home the trophies of the “Crow Festival”, due to the increasing quality of the festival.
“The AD Festival is an international award focused on the universe of creative advertising, design, public relations and media planning. The Health strand is an international award focused on Health Creativity. The organisation’s aim is to award the best that is done in Health Advertising on a global scale. In another matter, the increasing importance of the Public Relations sector in the advertising and communication industry led to the creation of the Lisbon PR Awards,” the organisers stated.
This year, the Panel of Curators, included Rodger Beekman, Creative Director Europe at Monstarlab; Eva Santos Bouzas, CCO and Founder en Delirio & Twain/Forbes 100; Luís Silva Dias, Chief Creative Officer at FCB International; Sara Fatima Koraishy, Business Director – Inviqa | HAVAS Group and Gabriel Augusto, Director at FLAG.
In the words of the CEO of the Lisbon Awards Group, the entity that owns the Lisbon International Advertising Festivals Group, “Our goal is to reward the best in the world, but also the best works of each region and give an opportunity to all creatives to show their work and all their creativity. The strands of the festival were extended to Health and PR, besides AD because we believe that the Health Advertising Industry has a very important and fundamental role in our society and we want to give it the prestige it deserves. The PR strand follows somewhat the same path and aims to reward the best works and agencies that work daily in the communication process of a brand.”
The CEO stated that the award would be an opportunity for the young creative minds to spread their wings and show what they got.
“This is a unique opportunity for them to become a reference in the creativity field by responding to a briefing and showing us their talent, vision and interpretation, while being evaluated by some of the greatest in this area.”
