Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has opened its first Trademark Collection property in Turkey close to Istanbul’s airport.

The 68-room Istanbul New Airport Hotel adds to Wyndham’s presence in the country, which already includes nearly 100 properties with another 20 in the development pipeline.

Trademark Collection was launched in 2017 as the first Wyndham brand for the owners of three and four-star independent properties. The collection now features more than 185 hotels across the world, including properties in European destinations such as Berlin, Athens, Budapest and Brussels.

Murat Ozel, Turkey country director for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said: “There is tremendous opportunity for midscale and upscale hotels in Turkey and this new opening in Istanbul, one of the world’s most popular cities, reinforces the brand’s global footprint and our commitment to our continued expansion in the country.”

The new Istanbul property, which is located 12 kilometres from the city’s airport, is a new-build hotel with a restaurant and business centre.
