SEGA and Relic Entertainment’s iconic strategy game Company of Heroes has been announced for the Nintendo Switch. The handheld port will be developed by Feral Interactive, and will contain the base game as well as the Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor expansions. Better yet, fans won’t have to wait very long to enjoy the military action, because Company of Heroes Collection will launch this autumn.

According to SEGA, the exact release date will be revealed in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for more information.

The first gameplay footage of Company of Heroes Collection on Nintendo Switch can be seen below.

The game features a tailor-made control scheme and “bespoke user interface” for Nintendo’s console.

It also comes with a customisable skirmish mode, as well as unique factions, multiple modes and lots of missions.

“With a bespoke user interface and controls designed for play on Nintendo Switch, the full battlefield will be under the player’s command. Intense tactical combat takes place across 41 squad-based missions, with moment-to-moment encounters shaping the course of each battle.”

“A customisable Skirmish mode is also included, with unique factions, multiple game modes and a wealth of maps, offering enormous replay ability and rewarding bold experimentation.”

According to SEGA, the game will be single-player only when it launches, with multiplayer joining as part of a post-release update.

Originally a PC only series, Company of Heroes is now available on iOS and Android in addition to Nintendo Switch.

Company of Heroes 3, on the other hand, is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
