Walmart Canada held the grand opening of our first high-tech fulfillment centre in Western Canada on June 28th.

“The site’s innovative robot and cutting-edge logistics technology empowers our associates to fulfil orders at exceptional speed. This means more of our customers across Canada can get affordable products into their hands as quickly as possible. As Canadians continue to face rising costs of living, this has never been more important,” said Gonzalo Gebara, president and CEO of Walmart Canada.

The opening of the 430,000-sq-ft facility in Alberta’s Rocky View County is part of the retailer’s “ongoing journey to transform its supply chain network to benefit associates and customers,” continued Gebara.

Walmart Canada announced it was investing $118 million to build the new facility back in March 2022.
