The WA Government is continuing to help the local business community gain access to key Asian markets, with 12 WA local businesses sharing in almost $298,000 in funding from the Access Asia Business Grants program.
Theses 12 small to medium enterprises received individual grants of up to $27,500 (excluding GST) to pursue Asian market access projects:
- Unios Australia Pty Ltd
- Polyline Industries
- CM Bowen and RJ Bowen
- Byron and Harold Pty Ltd
- EB Events Pty Ltd
- VetChip
- Textile Clothing Footwear Resource Centre of WA Inc
- Food, Fibre and Land International Group
- The Trustee for More Butter More Salt Trust
- Delroy Orchards
- Rhino Hide Pty Ltd
- Onetide
Now in its fifth funding round, the Access Asia Business Grants is a key initiative under the Western Australian Government’s Asian Engagement Strategy 2019-30 – Our future with Asia.
This Strategy provides a framework for the State’s long-term engagement with key Asian markets and responds to the need to diversify the economy and create skilled jobs for Western Australians. Since its inception in 2019, the program has awarded more than $1.4 million to 80 WA-based SMEs and organisations to assist them in gaining access to new Asian markets.
