Virgin Atlantic will increase flights from London Heathrow to both New York JFK and Boston for summer 2024.

Added frequencies on both routes will see the carrier offer a ‘record number’ of flights between London and New York, with seven daily services – up from six in 2023 – plus an additional 10 daily services via its joint venture partner Delta, which together marks an 11 per cent year-on-year capacity increase.

The carrier will also operate a second daily flight to Boston, in addition to Delta’s daily service.

The US-bound routes will be serviced by the carrier’s new A330-900neo and A350-1000 aircraft, which include 23 per cent more Premium and Upper-Class seats.

For the upcoming summer season, the carrier will offer a ‘record’ number of connections to the US, with an average of 27 daily departures to destinations including Atlanta, Los Angeles, Miami, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle, Tampa and Washington DC.

Virgin recently announced it is delaying the launch of a new route between London Heathrow and São Paulo from May 2024 to summer 2025.
