United Way of the Cape Fear Area launched an initiative to support the region’s small businesses, the Small Business Circle, the non-profit announced Monday.

The project focuses specifically on socially conscious enterprises, a news release stated. The Small Business Circle will organize promotional materials, events, community projects and notable endorsements for its members.

The initiative’s vision is described in the release as an aim to “drive positive change and support critical causes in the Cape Fear area,” according to the release.

“It’s about pooling the passion and prowess of our local business community, amplifying our collective impact and creating a lasting positive change,” CEO of UWCFA, Tommy Taylor said.

United Way is a national non-profit organization that works to improve education, health and financial stability across its network of stations.
