Organisers of this autumn’s UCX Europe 2023event have released more details regarding its main attractions. Among the many well-known speakers are TV personalities Dara O’Briain and Hannah Fry, as well as Baroness Martha Lane Fox who is President of the British Chamber of Commerce.
This eagerly-awaited two-day show is being held at London’s ExCel Centre on Wednesday, October 4th and Thursday, October 5th. Comedian O’Briain will be appearing on day two, alongside mathematician Fry who is a professor at University College London. This high-profile duo will discuss the key role of storytelling and the value of being humans in the age of machines.
As for Baroness Fox, she is one of a number of keynote speakers who are scheduled to take to the main stage on day one. She will open proceedings by exploring why businesses need to decide if ‘artificial intelligence’ (AI) is friend or foe. In addition to her role with the British Chamber of Commerce, Baroness Fox is founder of lastminute.com.
This popular gathering is officially titled UCX Europe 2023, and is being held as a platform to discuss and celebrate ‘Enterprise IT and AI.’ One vital topic under the microscope is: Do recent advancements in technology pose more questions than answers?
Those who attend can listen to words of wisdom from some of the industry’s most insightful minds. The event is specially tailored to combine Digital Transformation EXPO Europe(DTX) (the home of digital transformation), with UC EXPO (UCX), which leads the way in customer and workplace technology.
The event takes place during an era when IT teams and business leaders are starting to realise the impact of emerging technologies. Therefore, the theme of this year’s show is called: ‘Preparing for the next realm’.
And the focus is to help organisations learn how to balance risk with reward. It is vital for companies to prepare their people, processes and infrastructure for the continual evolution of ‘enterprise technology and AI’.
Other speakers include world-renowned social engineer Jenny Radcliffe, who is the author of ‘People Hacker.’ She will talk about the impact of tools such as ChatGPT. And former engineer at Google Cloud, Kelsey Hightower, is attending to discuss the future of open source for product innovation.
This year’s event will be backed by a host of household names, such as Cisco, Google, Microsoft, AWS, Zoom and HP.
Dominie Roberts, the programme lead for DTX + UCX, said: “Following our hugely successful Manchester show in May, we’re even more excited for this year’s European edition which returns to London’s ExCel Centre at such a crucial time for IT teams and business leaders.
“This year’s event is designed to help organisations gain the knowledge and solutions they need to keep up with advancements in technology. It will also highlight the way in which a new generation of customers and employees are using it.
“Given the line-up of headline speakers and featured case studies, this year is sure to be one of the best yet. We’ll be announcing more details over the next few weeks.”
There will also be case studies, panel debates and peer-to-peer discussions regarding cloud technology, networks, cyber security, software engineering, AI and automation. An additional stage will be erected dedicated to IT Ops and Service Management.
