U.S. Military Aircraft Crashes in Japanese Waters With Eight Aboard

TOKYO—A U.S. military Osprey aircraft with eight people on board crashed into the sea off southern Japan on Wednesday, the Japanese coast guard said.

Six coast guard ships and two aircraft were dispatched to search the site of the crash, east of the island of Yakushima, it said. Apparent debris from the plane was seen at the location, it said.
