Scuderia South Africa, the official Ferrari distributor in Southern Africa, says it will be bringing two new models of the luxury sports car to local shores in 2023.
This will be done under the new leadership of the company, with Smartgrowth Investments Proprietary Limited acquiring all equity of the group and taking over local operations.
This follows the successful conclusion of negotiations that commenced in November 2022 for the purchase of shares from the company’s previous shareholders.
According to the group’s new chief executive, Andre Rossouw, the group will celebrate its 50th year as the official Ferrari dealer in the country by bringing in two new models, set to debut in the fourth quarter of 2023.
The models are the Ferrari Purosangue (ERP R7 million+) and the Ferrari Roma Spider (ERP R6.3 million+).
“Our world-class showrooms will continue to provide a unique glimpse into the world of Ferrari. It remains a hub where customers and enthusiasts can appreciate the vehicles and learn more about the proud heritage of the brand,” Rossouw said.
