Crystal Ski Holidays managing director Chris Logan, meanwhile, will become managing director – specialist businesses, and will report into Iveson a part of a wider shake-up at Tui in the UK and Ireland.

In his expanded role, Logan will take responsibility for Tui River Cruises, as well as lead Crystal Ski Holidays and Tui’s lakes and mountain business.

As a result, Chris Hackney, Marella Cruises’ managing director, will now focus solely on the company’s ocean cruise product as opposed to ocean and river.

Sofer quit his role as Tui UK and Ireland’s commercial and business development director in late September. He joined Tui in September 2016 as managing director of Thomson Cruises before being promoted to his commercial role a year later.

In a statement, Tui thanked Sofer for his “unwavering commitment” during his tenure, describing him as “a crucial leader”.
