Trinity Solar, a residential solar installer, has leased 17,731 square feet in Plainview.

The company’s new digs are at 137 Commercial St., a 40,660-square-foot research and development building on 2.3 acres. The property features a lower-level parking garage, 17-foot ceiling heights and two loading docks.

Founded in 1994, Trinity is one of the largest privately held residential solar installation companies in the nation. The company has locations in nine states and employs more than 2,700 people.

Robert Kuppersmith, Connor Sullivan, Scott Schubert and Dan Johnsen of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant, while David Hunt of Hunt Corporate Services represented the landlord, Anton Cerrone Associates, in the lease transaction.

“We are thrilled to have found a new home for Trinity Solar at 137 Commercial Street,” said Kuppersmith. “The property’s state-of-the-art research and development facilities along with its prime location off the Long Island Expressway perfectly fit Trinity Solar’s needs. With this newest location added to Trinity’s portfolio, the company will be able to sell, install and provide roofing and solar services to even more homeowners in the Long Island and New York metro area.”
