Brighton eye loan for Arsenal forgotten Arsenal star
Arsenal youngster Albert Sambi Lokonga is being considered for a loan transfer by Brighton.
The Seagulls have seen negotiations with Lille over Carlos Baleba stall despite reports suggesting a £26million deal was close on Monday evening.
Now, according to talkSPORT, Brighton have switched their attention to Lokonga over an initial loan deal.
DONE DEAL: Southampton complete signing of Flynn Downes from West Ham
Southampton have completed the signing of Flynn Downes from West Ham.
The Saints announced Downes joined on an initial loan spell.
It sees the 24-year-old reunite with Russell Martin, having played under him at Swansea.
On the move Downes said: “The ambition for the club is obviously to get promoted, to get back in the Premier League, and that enticed me a lot.
“Obviously I’ve worked with the gaffer before. Him (Russell Martin), Gilly (Matt Gill, Assistant Manager), Deano (Dean Thornton, Goalkeeping Coach), Ben (Parker, First Team Tactics & Insights Analyst), I’ve worked with them and I know what they’re about.
“Their attention to detail, the way they play, what they demand of us players – it’s just such a good environment to be in, so it’s a no brainer really.”
Chelsea have four-man forward shortlist
Chelsea have identified four forwards to bolster Mauricio Pochettino’s firepower.
The Evening Standard reported that along with Folarin Balogun, Chelsea are looking at three other attackers.
The reports named Brennan Johnson, Mohammed Kudus and Bradley Barcola as potential taregts for the Blues before the transfer window closes.
Prem giants join Balogun race
Chelsea have joined the race to sign Folarin Balogun, according to the Evening Standard.
It comes after Monaco saw a £34million bid for the 22-year-old rejected and Fulham added him to their shortlist of targets to replace Aleksandar Mitrovic.
However, Arsenal want £50m to part ways with the American ace.
