The lawmaker representing Osogbo/Olorunda/Irepodun/Orolu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Olubukola Oyewo, has said that the president-elect, Bola Tinubu, will operate a youth-centred administration.

In a statement, at the weekend, by his media and publicity team, Oyewo listed mitigation of the crisis and rot in the education sector, human capital development and youth empowerment as some of the key areas the next president and his team will focus on.

The Osun federal legislator assured that Tinubu’s developmental framework, as captured in his manifesto, will give priority to education and youth empowerment as a means of rebuilding the country.

According to the lawmaker, the former Lagos State governor’s antecedent and achievements in the past are evidence that he has the capacity, tenacity and political will to implement life-changing programmes for youths in the country.

“After a careful assessment of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s track-record, as well as his well-publicised agenda for Nigeria, I am confident that the incoming government is going to be a youth-focused and friendly one.

“The manifesto of the next administration, titled ‘Hope Renewed,’ is set to rejuvenate the economy by unleashing the strength, intellectual ability and energy of Nigerian youths. The incoming government is certainly going to take bold steps to reduce unemployment and create more jobs for youngsters,” he said.

Oyewo, who reiterated the commitment of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to create a thriving and conducive environment for youths to complete their education, gain employment, start a business and earn a decent wage in Nigeria without the desire to emigrate, further said that the incoming government would facilitate an inclusive business environment where women and youths are empowered to participate.

“It will provide the enabling atmosphere, technical support and training that many of Nigerian youths require in a bid to attain self-employment, financial independence and live a productive life.

“I am sure the hope of millions of Nigerian youths will be renewed when Tinubu is sworn into office on May 29,” the APC chieftain said in his statement.
