KUALA LUMPUR: TIME Dotcom Bhd
has appointed Ir Dr Mohd Shahreen Zainooreen Madros as independent and non-executive director effective Aug 8.
Shahreen, 59, has over 30 years of work experience in various capacities. He spent much of the earlier part of his career in the oil and gas industry.
He started as an executive in an upstream oil and gas operator, and later held senior management positions in various organisations. His experience spans across many sectors of the oil and gas industry, and he has served organisations locally as well as abroad.
In 2010, Shahreen joined the government initiative of the Economic Transformation Program conducted by Pemandu, an agency in the Prime Ministers office. He was involved in coordinating strategic initiatives of the oil and gas services and equipment sector.
Shahreen served as the CEO of MATRADE between 2017 and 2019. He has worked to promote several industries beyond oil and gas and formulated strategic directions to grow Malaysia’s trade. He has represented Malaysia in many international trade missions and is involved in various industry dialogues.
He is now an independent advisor to industries. He is also a certified coach and an Adjunct Professor at a local university.
Shahreen is currently an independent non-executive director of E.A. Technique (M) Bhd and Velesto Energy Bhd.
He has a doctorate in structural engineering from the University of Cambridge and a degree in civil engineering from the University of London.
