Two years ago, it was announced that a The Venture Bros. movie was on the way. Now, fans have their first look at the upcoming project, The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart.
In the first The Venture Bros. movie clip of the upcoming film released, a group led by Brock Samson (Patrick Warburton) are on the hunt for Hank Venture, while Dr. Venture (James Urbaniak), Dean Venture (Michael Sinterniklaas), and General Hunter Gathers (Chris McCulloch) watch on. The new clip comes to an end with Brock finding an unconscious Hank but ends before we find out if he’s okay.
According to Adult Swim, the film is set to release sometime later this year. So with a 2023 release confirmed for The Venture Bros. movie, it isn’t too far off.

The new film picks up after the events of The Venture Bros.‘ season 7 finale and follows the nationwide manhunt for Hank Venture. The project sees stars Urbaniak (Dr. Venture), Warburton (Brock Samson), Sinterniklaas (Dean Venture), McCulloch (Hank Venture, and Doc Hammer (Dr. Mrs. The Monarch) all return to reprise their roles from the original series, with newcomers set to include:
- Nina Arianda (Being the Ricardos) as Mantilla
- Clancy Brown (John Wick: Chapter 4) as Daisy and Red Death
- John Hodgeman (Up Here) as Snoopy
- Hal Lublin (Welcome to Night Vale) as Clayton
- Jane Lynch (Glee) as Bobbi St. Simone
- Charles Parnell (Top Gun: Maverick) as Jefferson Twilight
- Jay Pharoah (Spinning Gold) as Nuno Blood
- Steven Rattazzi (New Amsterdam) as Dr. Orpheus
- JK Simmons (Whiplash) as Ben and Dana Snyder (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) as The Alchemist
“In The Venture Bros.: Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart, a nationwide manhunt for Hank Venture leads to untold dangers and unexpected revelations, while The Monarch is literally out for Dr Venture’s blood,” reads the official synopsis for the film. “An imposing evil from the past reemerges to wreak havoc on the Ventures, The Guild, and even the Monarch marriage—it will take friends and foes alike to restore the Ventures’ world to order… or end it once and for all.”
The original The Venture Bros. series was created by Chris McCulloch and Doc Hammer, and was one of Adult Swim‘s first original programs. The series became a cult favorite during its run, becoming one of Adult Swim’s longest-running original series while also having the record for fewest seasons produced of a scripted show per year of continuous production, with the show having just seven seasons across its 15 years of production.
