The Nun 2 Video: James Wan Teases Sequel’s Ties to The Conjuring Story

A brand new The Nun 2 video for New Line Cinema’s latest installment to The Conjuring Universe has released. It features commentary by franchise creator James Wan, director Michael Chaves, and the cast as they discussed Valak’s return. The film is currently slated to hit theaters on September 8.

In the video, Wan seemingly teases The Nun 2’s connection to the franchise’s main Conjuring story, hinting at a full-circle moment that would tie Valak to the Warrens. The featurette also offers new details to the story including the demon nun’s bloody quest to find an ancient relic that would make its more powerful. The church is once again relying on Taissa Farmiga’s Sister Irene to once again stop Valak before it keeps on killing priests and nuns across Europe.
