Tax and social contributions 42.9% of GDP in 2022 – Eurostat – English

(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 4 – The tax and social contributions to
GDP ratio in Italy stood at 42.9% in 2022, up from 42.8% in 2021
and slightly above the eurozone average of 41.9% for 2022,
Eurostat said on Saturday.


The highest shares of taxes and social contributions as a
percentage of GDP were recorded in France (48.0%), Belgium (45.6
%) and Austria (43.6%).


Italy stood at seventh place in the European Union ranking.
