European carrier Swiss is to add a series of new short-haul routes from its bases at Zurich and Geneva for summer 2024.

The carrier, which is part of the Lufthansa Group, will introduce a new service from Geneva to Oslo, while existing winter services from Geneva to Copenhagen and Stockholm will be extended to run throughout the summer season.

Another move will see Swiss extend the operation of its Zurich to Bremen winter route throughout the forthcoming summer.

The airline has previously announced the new short-haul destinations of Kosice, which is Slovakia’s second-biggest city, and Cluj-Napoca in Romania for summer 2024.

Tamur Goudarzi Pour, Swiss’s chief commercial officer, said: “We are very pleased to be further expanding our portfolio of European destinations to give our customers an even broader selection of air travel options.”

The carrier is adding more frequencies to several existing European destinations from Zurich this summer, including Alicante, Madrid, Naples, Venice and Vilnius.

There will also be more flights from Geneva on routes to cities such as Athens, Brindisi, Brussels, Catania, Malaga, Palma and Valencia.
