Sweden’s Travel Support chain of independent travel agencies has signed an NDC framework agreement with technology firm Nordic NDC.
The deal will give Travel Support’s 95 members access to the Symphony booking tool through Nordic NDC. Symphony provides full airline content, prices and ancillary services via NDC channels, low-cost carriers (LCCs) and travel tech giant Amadeus.
Nordic NDC’s Atlas data integration platform will also allow agencies to automatically flow data from Symphony into their own back-office systems to save manual work.
Hans Nohrenius, from Travel Support, said the new partnership would allow members to “get to the forefront of this travel technology transition”.
“Once Symphony and Atlas are fully implemented, each agency will have the most up-to-date and efficient service set-up that will give our customers a better experience,” added Nohrenius.
“Travel Support member agencies will benefit from the growing number of airlines available via NDC and the LCC channels via our central set-up in our ticketing office, Ticket & Tours, or via a local set-up in the agency.
“From 1 September 2023, SAS will also implement NDC in their distribution and will move some ticket types away from the current channels. Our members will be ready to serve SAS NDC as well.”
