Sweden Opens Doors to 100,000+ Foreign Workers for These 20 Jobs

During the second quarter of this year, Sweden reported 106,565 job vacancies across all regions, indicating a labor shortage in various sectors.

The European Labour Authority (EURES) identifies healthcare, education, IT, engineering, construction, skilled trades, manufacturing, and machine operations as sectors facing worker scarcity. Highly skilled workers are particularly sought after in healthcare, education, IT, engineering, construction, and law enforcement, with roles such as midwives, civil engineers, IT architects, police officers, and more in demand.

Occupations with varying skill levels experiencing shortages include construction, skilled trades, manufacturing, agriculture, and healthcare.

Geographically, Stockholm leads in job openings, followed by West Sweden, while Central Norrland records the lowest number of job openings.

Foreign individuals with expertise in these sectors stand a higher chance of securing a Swedish work visa, while certain occupations face substantial competition.
