West Yorkshire is a global leader in healthtech and innovation.

The pioneering research, world-leading treatments and innovative products created and developed here are changing lives all around the world.

Taking place on 16 November as part of the West Yorkshire Innovation Festival, InnovateUK and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority will be sharing details of major new, national investment to drive forward the growth and success of the region’s healthtech sector.

By attending the event, healthtech companies will be able to hear details of £12.5m in new funding unique to West Yorkshire being made available to support product development and innovation, find out how to bid for funding and get support from organisations in the cluster.

The event will feature keynote speeches from Tracy Brabin, the Mayor of West Yorkshire, Dr Neville Young, Director of Enterprise & Innovation at  the Yorkshire & Humber Academic Health Science Network, InnovateUK and the University of Leeds, plus business case studies.

It will also be an opportunity to network and build greater connections with other healthtech SMEs and partners across the region.

Running from 13-17 November 2023 and now in its third year, the West Yorkshire Innovation Festival has been created by the West Yorkshire Innovation Network and coordinated by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
