RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK – Plenty of technology and life science events and program deadlines are coming up across North Carolina in July. Several events will be held in person or in a hybrid format, while many others remain virtual.

Building on WRAL TechWire’s ongoing work tracking essential events and deadlines across North Carolina, here’s a look at what’s to come in July 2023:

Downtown Techies Raleigh Happy Hour

1 Million Cups Lake Norman

Every Wednesday morning, entrepreneurs in the Lake Norman area join to present their companies to mentors, advisers and other startups. Join to meet new people and collaborate with fellow entrepreneurs.

1 Million Cups Charlotte

Held every week, 1 Million Cups Charlotte features a presentation from a local startup followed by a Q&A from the community.

This hybrid workshop series offers eight sessions focusing on the Design, Build, Test, Learn (DBTL) methodology for product development. The program will present case studies and hands-on exercises to help participants develop prototypes and refine their ideas through feedback and data-driven decisions.

Coffee & Conversation with Charlotte Business Group

Application Deadline: Venture Atlanta Startup Showcase Live

July 28

Applications are open for this year’s Venture Atlanta Startup Showcase Live. The selected pre-seed and seed-stage startups will compete for a $500,000 investment prize at Venture Atlanta 2023 this September. Note: Though it will be held in Atlanta, this pitch competition targets startups across the southeast.
