The Elyria Community Partnership is hosting a free workshop designed for businesses from 5:30-8 p.m., Nov. 13, at 200 Middle Ave. Suite 200, in downtown Elyria, according to a news release.

This event is part of Elyria Community Partnership’s Business Development Program, the release said.

The Stay Ready Small Business Workshop is designed for Lorain County business owners who strive to prepare both for the holiday season and the new year ahead with topics around marketing and budgeting, according to the release.

Business owners are encouraged to bring business cards for an opportunity to enter the raffle for a $100 Staples gift card, the release said.

This event is sponsored by SCORE, an organization with dedicated mentors designed to help business owners achieve their goals, according to the release.

Registration is required. Business owners can register at elyriatogether.org/stayreadysbw.

“Being able to plan ahead in this season makes a huge difference for a business owner, having the opportunity to share strategies to implement prior to the new year will help prepare growth for businesses,” said John Sonnhalter, a mentor at SCORE, in the release.

“We have worked with several businesses throughout the year, business owners have explained the need for more education and resources available to help them succeed,” said Mone’t Roberts, executive director of Elyria Community Partnership, in the release. “With the help of our partners, we plan to continue to provide opportunities for small business owners and continue to provide revitalized efforts in the small business community in Elyria.”
