On Friday, Spie announced the continuation of its strategy of targeted acquisitions, with the signing of an agreement for the purchase of the Strukton Group’s grid business in the Netherlands.
With this operation, the French engineering group says it intends to further consolidate its positions in the booming Dutch energy market.
The acquired entity specializes in installation, extension and renovation services for high-voltage substations and medium-voltage infrastructures.
It also offers service and maintenance activities that include inspections, maintenance and 24/7 assistance.
With its 115 employees, Strukton’s subsidiary generated nearly 28 million euros in sales in 2022 ‘with good profitability’, Spie states in a press release.
The transaction – the amount of which was not specified – should be finalized by the end of the year.
