South African retail sales fell 0.9% year on year in June after declining by a revised 1.6% in May, Statistics South Africa figures showed on Wednesday.
On a month-on-month basis, sales increased 0.2%.
Sales in the three months to the end of June were down 1.4% compared with the same period last year, the statistics agency said.
