Sixth-Grade Student Killed, Five Others Injured in Iowa School Shooting

A 17-year-old student shot and killed a sixth-grader and injured five others at a high school in the rural community of Perry, Iowa, police said.

Dylan Butler, a student at Perry High School, was armed with a shotgun and a handgun when he opened fire at his school Thursday morning before the start of classes, law-enforcement officials said. He was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
