Atomic Wallet Announces Plan to Support Shibarium
At press time, Atomic Wallet has yet to confirm whether it has officially integrated Shibarium into its platform. The non-custodial wallet had previously indicated plans to support Shibarium.
In a January 26 tweet, the popular non-custodial wallet revealed its preparations to have Shibarium run on its platform.
Since the mainnet version of Shibarium launched on August 16, Atomic Wallet has been relatively silent about integrating the network.
Over 5M Atomic Users Could Have Access to Shibarium
Atomic Wallet’s support for Shibarium is a significant milestone for the L2 blockchain. Integrating Shibarium to Atomic Wallet could contribute immensely to the network’s widespread adoption.
It is worth mentioning that Atomic Wallet claims it has a global user base of 5 million users, with over 500K monthly active users. The Wallet was launched in 2017 to provide safe and secured storage for over 1,000 cryptocurrencies, including BTC, ETH, DOGE, SHIB, and Shibarium governance token BONE.
Shibarium Current Stats
Meanwhile, Shibarium has recorded impressive stats since its mainnet launch. At the time of writing, the L2 blockchain has processed 3,783,796 (3.78 million), according to data from Shibariumscan.
In addition, the L2 blockchain has a record of 1,259,830 (1.25 million) wallets and a total block of 1,478,466 (1.47 million). Shibarium is currently among the fastest L2 blockchains on the Ethereum network, boasting an average block time of 5.0 seconds.
Top Crypto Projects Declare Support for Shibarium
Besides Atomic Wallet supporting Shibarium, other top crypto-related projects have also declared support for the L2 blockchain. Last week, an Australian-based cryptocurrency exchange, GroveX, said it had added Shibarium to its GroveKeeper wallet.
Furthermore, the Shiba Inu community expects leading crypto hardware wallet provider Ledger to integrate Shibarium into its platform. Recall that, earlier this year, Ledger confirmed plans to support Shibarium once it goes live on the mainnet. The top wallet provider has not yet provided an update regarding the integration.
