Shark Tank India Season 3: Aspiring business owners in India are gearing up to pitch their ideas to a group of investors referred to as the “Sharks,” as they make a comeback to search for new entrepreneurs and provide them with financial support for their projects. The filming for the third season of Shark Tank India commenced today, bringing together prominent entrepreneurs once again.
Anupam Mittal, the founder and CEO of Shaadi.com (People Group), Aman Gupta, co-founder and CMO of boAt, Namita Thapar, executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Vineeta Singh, co-founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics, and Amit Jain, CEO and co-founder of CarDekho Group and InsuranceDekho.com, have all commenced filming for the third season today. Comedian and stand-up host Rahul Dua is also back to add humour to what can otherwise be serious business discussions.
Aspiring entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present their business ideas to a group of experienced investors and business experts referred to as “The Sharks.” The show will soon unveil the new lineup of sharks for this season. The premiere date for Shark Tank India 3 will be announced by Sony LIV in the near future.
On another note, Aman Gupta shared at the Walmart Converge event last week that he personally appreciates it when people recognise him and ask for a chance to take a photo with him. He mentioned that when Shark Tank is being broadcast, boAt receives significant free advertising, leading them to pause their marketing efforts for approximately three months.

Gupta’s comments align with the sentiments expressed by certain founders of smaller companies who have participated in the show. These founders have voiced concerns that some sharks (investors) may have used the show or platform to primarily build their personal reputation and promote their own startups, rather than fulfilling the commitments they made during the pitch.
Memes featuring quirky one-liners from investor Ashneer Grover contributed significantly to the show’s viral success following the first season, which aired on Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television from December 20, 2021, to February 4, 2022. The second season of Shark Tank India, hosted by Rannvijay Singh Singha, was broadcast from January 2, 2023, to March 10, 2023, on Sony LIV and Sony Entertainment Television.
