SAGINAW, MI — Saginaw Soup, a local business pitch competition, returns tonight, Thursday, Nov. 2.
The latest event in the Saginaw Soup series will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at CMURC on the second floor of the SVRC Marketplace building, 203 S. Washington Ave. in downtown Saginaw.
For a $5 entry fee paid at the door, audience members can watch as local entrepreneurs pitch their small business ideas to a panel of judges. Guests can also vote for their favorite entrepreneurial idea and enjoy free samples from Saginaw-area restaurants during the event.

Saginaw Soup’s first-place winner will receive a $2,000 cash prize, the second-place winner receives a $1,500 cash prize, and the third-place winner receives a free weekend pop-up space at the SVRC Marketplace. The audience will vote for the People’s Choice winner, who will receive the total entry fees collected at the door.
