Ryanair is to open a new base at Copenhagen airport from late 2023 as it expands services from the Danish capital.
The Irish airline will initially base two aircraft at Copenhagen from December allowing it to add four new routes to Dusseldorf, Faro, Paris and Warsaw, as well as increasing frequencies to Gdansk and Krakow in Poland.
Ryanair already operates 20 routes from the airport and hopes to increase annual traffic to and from Copenhagen to around 3 million passengers from its current level of 2.3 million.
Copenhagen will be Ryanair’s second base in Denmark as it already operates a two-aircraft base at Billund.
