Roma Finance has expanded its sales team with the appointments of Amer Watson and Shahed Popat as business development managers.
Amer, who joins from MS Lending, has spent the last five years of his career within the bridging lending space. Amer will cover Yorkshire, the North East and Scotland.
Shahed joins Roma from Blue Square Capital with five years’ experience in the specialist property finance market and has previously worked at West One. Shahed will be the business development manager for the South East and London.
As Amer and Shahed join the business, Claudine Reynolds and Alan Collins will move into relationship management roles to focus on partnerships and growing business with affiliates.
Michael Allison, commercial director, said: “We had huge success in 2023 with multiple record-breaking months and we are starting 2024 by strengthening our commercial team inline with the needs of our customers and brokers. We have ambitious targets which we have communicated with transparency. As we grow, we need to bring in exceptional talent to execute our sales strategy and take advantage of every opportunity. 2024 will be our biggest ever year.”
