Poised to create opportunities for young real estate operators, a realtor, Joyce Taiwo Uba, has launched a Global Realtors Academy (GRA) to teach young ones rudiments of the profession.
Uba, who spoke with newsmen at the launch, said the idea came out of her experiences, which forced her to venture into real estate after suffering for accommodation in her teenage years.
According to her, life has a lot of surprises for people and until one understands what his/her destiny is, he/she will continue to wobble with little or no success.
She said: “I want to create opportunities for those who want to make a career in the real estate sector to soar and actualise.
“I want to advise those choosing to grow in the sector to see whatever they meet in the job as lessons that can help them mould and build themselves to enviable heights. You may have periods of discouragement but you should know they are part of your assignment to grow.”
Meanwhile, a management consultant and business strategist, Dr. Mike Oladipo, who took the participants through on courses, described Joyce as an epitome of a business professional and a strategist, who has penchant to build a sustainable organisation that would help to reposition Africa for global relevance.
Also, Director, Brass & Castles Real Estate, Peacemaker Afolabi, described the launching as a remarkable project that will place Nigeria’s real estate sector on international competition.
He said that the Academy would open new visas for those interested in making a career out of real estate.
Also, Pastor Eyewumi Ghereje of Christian Centre, Victoria Island , Lagos, thanked Joyce for her dedication in improving the lives of young people.
One of the participants, Belee Mark, thanked the organisers for coming out with the Academy as it has expanded her financial horizon.
