(ANSA) – ROME, NOV 10 – Transport Minister Matteo Salvini
said Friday he was ready to order workers to limit to four hours
a 24-hour transport strike called for November 17 in Italy.
“There cannot be strikes lasting 24 hours ,” said the deputy
premier and right-wing League party leader.
“To strike for 4 hours is absolutely legitimate, for 24 it is
not,” said the minister.
“If the unions agree to the request, fine, if not, as I have
already done, I will intervene” and there is “the instrument of
ordering them to work”. (ANSA).
