OTTAWA, Nov 2 (Reuters) – The Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) (RY.TO) has agreed to pay a $6 million penalty to settle U.S. charges it violated internal accounting controls, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) said on Thursday.

RBC, Canada’s largest bank, did not admit or deny the SEC’s findings in the settlement, the regulator said in a statement.
