Radley Private School celebrated World Wildlife Day on March 3 with a dress-up and entrepreneurship event.
Principal Charne’ De Gouveia said this day celebrated all the world’s animals and plants, and their contribution to our lives and the health of the planet. It is also the birth date of the Convention on International trade in endangered species of wild fauna or flora.
“Our Grade R-3 entrepreneurs came to school dressed up as wild animals while Grade 4–7 entrepreneurs came to school with ideas on how entrepreneurship can be linked to animals and plants,” he said.
They were creative in their business ideas and performed sales pitches explaining them, he added.
“We are a school that incorporates entrepreneurship into every angle of our curriculum, and it has been amazing to see how their [learners’] entrepreneurial skills are improving during their time with us.”
