Radisson Hotel Group has opened its first Radisson RED property in eastern Europe in the Georgian capital Tbilisi.
The hotel, which is based in a historic 100-year-old former post office, offers 111 rooms and suites, and features the Posta Restaurant & Bar on the ground floor as its “social hub”.
Radisson RED Tbilisi is also catering for the meetings and events market, with three meeting rooms for up to 70 people, as well as a courtyard that can host up to 500 guests.
Antoine Moubarak, Radisson’s regional director for eastern Europe, added: “The Radisson RED brand and Tbilisi are a perfect fit. The hotel is located on one of the main avenues in the city which has a vibrant atmosphere and energy.
“The historic former post office building has undergone an incredible renovation to combine original and modern vibes.”
Radisson has been expanding in Europe this year across its hotel brands. The company also plans to open a new Radisson RED property at Edinburgh airport in 2025.
