A printing press breakdown in the wee hours of Friday morning created challenges in printing Friday’s Vindicator that led to late delivery and elimination of several inside pages.
Because one of the units on the press could not immediately be repaired overnight, a swift decision was made to eliminate several pages that normally would have appeared in Friday’s “A” section in order to get the rest of the newspaper printed and delivered. Unfortunately, those pages included obituaries, stocks, business news and some short news stories, along with the conclusion of some news stories.
All obituaries that were omitted from Friday’s newspaper are being printed inside today’s newspaper. Additionally, any business or news stories that were omitted also are being reprinted today.
The final sentences of two of the stories that did not end are included in a correction on page A2 today. Additionally, a story about a procession held for the Canfield police dog that died recently is scheduled to reprinted in its entirety in Sunday’s Vindicator.
In the meantime, all the news items that normally would have appeared in Friday’s print edition are available online at www.
vindy.com.
The Vindicator apologizes for the inconvenience, and we ask our readers to bear with us.
