DALLAS — Plant-based food startup Plantasia Foods has launched its first product, a burger alternative derived from pea protein.
The plant-based burger comes in a frozen, pre-cooked format and offers a convenient and sustainable meal option that is ready to serve after one minute of microwaving. Plantasia’s product is made with non-GMO ingredients, free from soy and gluten and contains 22 grams of protein per patty.
“At Plantasia Foods, we’re committed to providing delicious and healthy plant-based options that are accessible and convenient for everyone,” said Carlos Barroso, founder and chief executive officer of Plantasia Foods. “We’re thrilled to be launching our plant-based burger and are confident that it will be a hit with those who are looking for a quick, delicious, and complete meal.”
The burger is now available in online retailers HungryRoot and GTFO, It’s Vegan! along with select retail locations in the United States. Plantasia is also set to launch a barbecue variation of its plant-based burger and a chicken nugget alternative later this year.
