Placemaker Muse has expanded its Midlands team with four new appointments and has announced the opening of a new office in Northspring, Temple Street.

The new additions to the team include Basit Ali, joining as a development director, Sharne Sahajpal as a development manager, Iona MacRury as marketing and communications manager (also supporting Muse’s southern team), and Rachel Conway as PA and office manager.

Muse established an office in Birmingham in 2022, in addition to its existing offices in Manchester, London, and Leeds.

Maggie Grogan, managing director for Muse – Midlands, said: “Muse has been operating in the Midlands for 12 months. Our work in Wolverhampton and Solihull already reflects our ambition. We want to deliver quality place-making and regeneration, which has a real impact on people’s lives.

“We are now investing in the right talent to help take key projects, and the business, forward. This includes investing in high-quality new office space so we can continue to grow.”

Time Finance has announced the appointment of Sam Evans as regional sales manager in the Midlands.

Evans joins with 5 years of experience in the financial services industry having held a position as area sales manager at Close Brothers.

In this role, he specialised in supporting SMEs with asset finance and leasing solutions in the manufacturing and engineering sectors.

Within Times Finance, Evans will support the growth of its asset finance offering in the manufacturing sector, providing businesses with tailored leasing solutions to equip them with the essential pieces of equipment they need.

He said: “I am excited to be joining the team. The business is clearly in an exciting phase of growth, and with a growing and energetic management team in place, I look forward to working alongside them to strengthen the support we provide businesses in the manufacturing sector.”

Select Lifestyles, a care provider based in West Bromwich has strengthened its board of directors by making two promotions to executive director level.

Sumedh Jassal and Alex Ford

Alex Ford has been promoted from health, safety and facilities manager and Sumedh Jassal has been promoted from business development manager.

Nick Horton, managing director of Select Lifestyles, said: “It’s fantastic to see Alex and Sumedh joining the board of directors and we very much welcome the expertise they will bring.

“Alex brings valuable experience in facilities management and ensuring our properties meet industry standards, which is very important to us as the business expands and we acquire new properties. As well as business development, Sumedh has significant experience in interior design and making sure our services are as homely as possible, so he will be supporting us to ensure all our services maintain this high standard. We have ambitious plans for next year and we’re sure that both Alex and Sumedh will play a key role in driving the company forward.”
