Peabody Student Wins State Accounting Case Study Competition

Abigail MacNeil was one of seven award recipients in the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants leadership program.



PEABODY, MA — Peabody Veterans Memorial High student Abigail MacNeil was one of seven case study award recipients at the recent Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accounts leadership program at Suffolk Univerity.

MacNeil was one of 26 students invited to the program focused on accounting careers and other business-related professions.

Students presented their case studies to a board of judges with the seven winners earning a $100 Visa gift card.

Other winners were Pranav Abburi, of Chelmsford High, Aleksa Boteo, of Notre Dame Cristo Rey, Wellesley Da Silva, of Brockton High, Amy Harden, of Reading Memorial High, Diana Heung, of Lowell High and Brianna Reyes Cruz, of Excel Academy Charter High.

All 26 students also received a certificate for completing the program.
