Openlane agreed Monday to acquire Cox Automotive’s Manheim Canada business for around $95 million.
The company, which provides used car-auction services and salvage-auction services, said the deal includes the Manheim Montreal facility and auction sales, operations and select staff across Manheim Canada, which intends to exit Canada.
Openlane will assume Manheim Canada’s customer relationships under the agreement. After the transaction closes, Openlane will integrate the Manheim Canada business into its existing Canada business, combining all inventory within its digital marketplace.
The transaction also includes the purchase of Manheim’s Montreal facility but excludes its other Canadian facilities.
