Low-cost carrier Norse Atlantic Airways will commence a new direct service from Athens, Greece to New York JFK in the upcoming summer season.

Flights will operate up to five times weekly throughout the summer peak between 20 May and 26 October, 2024. Tickets are now on sale.

The carrier said the new service will meet “surging demand” and provide a gateway to boost cultural and economic ties between the two countries.

“This launch underscores our commitment to meeting the evolving travel needs of our passengers,” said Bjorn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways.

“We believe this route will not only cater to the demand for travel to Greece but will also create opportunities for cultural exchange and business collaborations between these two vibrant destinations,” he added.

The airline already operates flights to New York from London Gatwick, Paris, Berlin, Oslo and Rome.

Norse Atlantic’s fleet is comprised exclusively of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft with economy and premium cabins, the latter featuring seats with a 43-inch pitch and 12-inch recline.
