The new business ‘DJ Disco’, started by Dan Page and Josh Lee from Norwich, will bring “huge club tunes from the 80s and 90s” to special events across the county, catering to everything from weddings to music festivals.
Mr Page, better known by his stage name “DJ Danster”, has been playing nightclubs, including Faith in Lowestoft, for more than 11 years.
But since meeting singer Mr Lee six years ago, the Ipswich-born performer has turned his attention to starting his own business.

And with a combined 17 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Mr Lee said he hopes the couple will have an edge over their competitors.
He said: “Me being a singer and Dan being a DJ, I think we’ve got a good idea of what it takes to succeed in this sector.
“It feels like there’s not much you could throw at us that we haven’t already dealt with.”
So what does it take to start a mobile disco business?
According to Mr Lee, a solid setup.
He said: “We’ve really invested in the lights and sound system, so we can be fully functioning whatever venue we book.
“It was important to us to get good quality equipment, but also equipment you can move easily to allow us to be fully mobile.”
The couple has already booked a few gigs, but Mr Lee said he expected it to take at least 12 months for business to pick up, since most events book entertainment years in advance.
He added: “It is scary starting out, but you’ve just got to keep putting yourself out there.
“We’ve seen enough bad discos to know that eventually, quality speaks for itself.”
