It was a gathering of high profile personalities ranging from business elites to celebrities as ‘The Macallan’ introduced the world of sophistication and craftsmanship of its Double Cask 30 Years Old (YO) single malt whisky to Nigerian connoisseurs.
The event, which took place at the luxurious Tar Tar Restaurant in Abuja recently, was filled to the brim as guests were treated to a taste of sensorial experience of exceptional spirit combined with the finest handpicked sherry-seasoned European and American oak casks resulting in a complex character that narrates the perfect harmony of the two distinct worlds.
According to the conveners of the event, the 30-year-old whiskey tells a captivating wood journey that traverses the vast green forests of northern Spain and the French Pyrenees, before culminating in the lush woodlands of Ohio, Missouri, and Kentucky, to create a perfect harmony. “Standing as the most venerable expression within this collection, The Macallan’s Double Cask series marks a crowning achievement with its three-decade-long maturation process, which exhibits a rich depth of flavour and a complex character. The Macallan partnered with renowned American artist and photographer, Erik Madigan Heck, to artistically showcase the signature tastes and distinctive taste profile of Double Cask 30 Years Old”, the conveners revealed.
Speaking at the event, the Brand Manager of Edrington Portfolio in Nigeria, Hammed Adebiyi said: “The Macallan Double Cask 30 Years Old is a truly exceptional whisky that is sure to delight even the most discerning palate. We are delighted to launch this exceptional whisky in Nigeria, and we are confident that it will become an instant favourite among whisky lovers in the country.”
