The facelifted Mazda 3 is now on sale across South Africa, offering three variants and two trim levels with a starting price of R447,500
The Mazda 3 is the brand’s top-selling model, and the recent facelift adds more advanced technology and styling options – everything from the leather-clad multi-function steering wheel, and windshield Heads Up Display to a new exterior colour and interior design concept.
New features
According to Mazda, the new facelifted version now offers a Ceramic White exterior colour option, in addition to the existing colours of Arctic White, Deep Crystal Blue, Jet Black, Machine Grey, Polymetal Grey, Snowflake White Pearl, Soul Red Crystal, Platinum Quartz.
The Mazda 3 now offers Android Auto and Wireless Apple CarPlay, USB Type-C connectivity, and wireless charging (Qi standard) that works on all modern smartphones.

Performance
The Mazda 3 is available with either a 1.5-litre or a 2.0-litre, naturally-aspirated petrol powerplant, depending on the trim level.
The 1.5-litre engine produces 88kW and 153Nm comprising either a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, achieving an average fuel consumption of 6.0l/100km.
The Astina model comes exclusively with a 2.0-litre engine paired with a six-speed automatic. This engine provides an output of 121kW and 213Nm, with a consumption rate of 6.3l/100km.
