Familiar faces have taken over ownership of Ann Arbor luxury fashion shop

Renaissance has a long history of bringing luxury fashion to downtown Ann Arbor.

Founder Roger Pothus opened the store in 1971 as a spot for luxury men’s and women’s clothing, but the business also has come to be known for its customization services for suits, sport jackets and trousers.

However, Pothus’ death in 2021 has caused a shift in ownership, with two men who have their own history with Renaissance deciding to continue the store’s legacy.

What’s that? New business aims to bring coffee, craft cocktails to Ann Arbor

An Ohio-based coffee shop plans to bring the ultimate social space to Ann Arbor.

StoneFruit Social plans to open in the former Wolverine Sushi location at 413 E. Huron St., Suite C by early 2024. The new business plans to connect people over coffees and craft cocktails.

The Ann Arbor-area will soon lose a spot to find healthy meals.

Fresh Forage is set to close its doors at 5060 Jackson Road in Scio Township on Nov. 10. The business got its start in 2018 and prides itself on being a fresh-food option.

University of Michigan Credit Union gets OK for new Ann Arbor location

The University of Michigan Credit Union has officially received the green light to build a new location on Plymouth Road.

The credit union received approval from the Ann Arbor Planning Commission on Oct. 17 to demolish an existing office building to construct a single-story 4,790-square-foot building at 2935 Plymouth Road.
